Lynx Lake
Summary
Lynx , located in the Prescott National Forest, was originally formed in 1952, when a dam was built on Lynx Creek. Only 5 miles from Prescott, Lynx Lake is a very popular recreation area with much to do and see, such as the cool ponderosa pine forest, archaelogical sites, and activities such as mountain biking, horseback riding and much more!

Boating
Non-motorized and electric-powered boats are permitted on the lake. No gas powered boats. Boat rentals are available at the Lynx Lake Store at the north enterance.
There is a two lane paved lanch ramp, which is a great area to fish from if the lake is not too busy.
Camping
There are two main campground:
Hilltop campground
38 sites, drinking water and toilets are available. There are no hookups and reservations are not required. The maximum size vehicle is 40 feet (12 m). The campground season is opened from April 1 to November 1. The fee is $10.00 per night. Access is on the east side of Walker Road, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) south of State Hwy 69.

Handicapped Access
Lynx Lake is perfect the for disthe physically disabled folks. There are several shore spots that are accessed by wheelchair as well as dock with handicapped access. Several handicapped parking spaces are available.
Launch Ramps
There is a two lane paved lanch ramp, which is a great area to fish from if the lake is not too busy.
Parking
There is plenty of parking at the south enterance to the lake. At the north enterance, you will find the Lynx Lake Cafe, also with plenty of parking space.

- There is no swimming in the lake

- Wednesdays are always free. No parking fees are charged on any Wednesday.
