Hi,

My name is Sam Simmons, I am the administrator here at Fish'n Arizona. I created this site as a means to learn more about fishing here in Arizona myself as well as a way to meet new anglers that I might have something in common with.

Let me tell you a little about myself. Im currently a student at Yavapai Community College in Prescott and soon will be transfering to Pima Community College in Tuscon, followed by the University of Arizona, where I will be working towards a masters in Engineering.

Im fairly new to Arizona, I moved here from Colorado about a year ago, so I wouldn't say Im an expert on fishing here in Arizona, but I do know what Im doing when it comes to fishing in general. I love to fish, it doesn't matter what kind of fishing it is. I will sit out all day and night with nothing but 10ft of line and a hook! haha I mostly enjoy bass and catfish fishing, but I also have a passion for flyfishing for trout. So far, my favorite places to fish in Arizona are Alamo Lake and Lake Pleasant, however I have my waters that I have yet to fish on, so this could change!

I have a 3yr old son who also loves to fish. He caught his first fish this last summer out at Alamo. He has his own little Cars fishn pole and tackle box and I think he talks more about fishing than I do! haha

Well, thats the basics about me. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. You can contact me by means of one of the following:

  • If you click the contact link in the main links at the top of the page, this form submits all inquiries directly to me.
  • You may visit my personal contact form in my profile (you all have one as well)
  • You may post your comments here in the forums
  • Or you may contact me directly at thehuskybear@gmail.com

So, welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your experience here!
